To decide which character you want to play
If you make up your mind on the main character in advance, you will be beneficial in TBC.
To plan your professions

2. To invest on Black Vitriol
This item is not very important in wow classic, but this will change in TBC. Since you'll need this item to craft the Philosopher's Stone, and you will also need Philosopher's Stone to transmute Primal Might.

3. To invest on Light Hide
It can be used by leatherworkers to craft various types of leather armors.
Light Hide is likely to be obtained where Light Leather can be found and mostly beasts between level 10 to 25. There are many zones to farm Light Leather, but the most efficient place to farm Light Hide would be Darkshore, Wetlands Crocolisks, Mottled Raptor and Displaced Threshadon from Wetlands, since there are plenty of bears to be skinned.
If you want to level up Leatherworking from level 45 to 55, you need Cured Light Hide that requires 1 Light Hide and 1 Salt. Many people might swap professions in TBC as each profession has a lot of useful crafted items.
4. To invest on Medium Hide
If the creature is below level 25, Medium Hide can be skinned from level 20 to 35. There is a chance that it will produce Light Leather. The best zones to farm Medium Hide would be Northern Stranglethorn. There are plenty of creatures and beasts to be skinned and to respawn at a fast rate.
It is used in most Leatherworking guides. If you want to level up Leatherworking from level 100 to 120, you need Cured Medium Hide that requires 1 Medium Hide and 1 Salt.
5. To invest on Heavy Hide
It is the last one that I invest on. If you want to level up Leatherworking from level 155 to 160, you need Cured Heavy Hide that requires 1 Heavy Hide and 3 Salt.
It is often very cheap as most people don't level Leatherworking right now, but this will change when there is a huge demand, and players will try to get more.
6. To invest on Nexus Crystal
It is collected when you disenchant every gear. They're often very cheap, and you can use them in TBC. You can transform a Nexus Crystal into a small Prismatic Shard, and the smaller Prismatic Shard is used to level your Enchanting in TBC.
The Auction House sells a formula that teaches you how to convert three small Prismatic Shards into a large one, and the Large Prismatic Shard is used for some enchants.
The Shard will be very expensive as you will need to disenchant high-level gear in order to get it.
7. To invest on Elemental Air
It is often very cheap, and you can find it on Auction House for almost the same price, but I am also interested in it since there will be two new races in TBC.
Draeneis will be able to play Shaman, so Elemental Air will be in huge demand on alliance. Because in classic TBC, you can play Shaman at level 50, and you will unlock a quest. This will tell us to collect four different elementals: Elemental Air, Elemental Fire, Elemental Earth, and Elemental Water
It is a Shaman's specific quest. In the end, it will reward you with a lot of experience and a blue item.
When we get new races in TBC, people will also have to level up in classic content, and one way to level up faster is to buy rare and epic items. I usually get my epic items for anywhere between 10 to 20 gold, and I only invest on items for Shamans on the alliance and Paladins on the horde.
8. To invest on Large Brilliant Shard
It is another enchanting material that I invest on. It is often very cheap, and I've paid an average of two and a half gold each. The reason why I invest on it is that Enchant will be useful in the early burning crusade.
Most of the classic in-game engines will require Large Brilliant Shards and the Nexus Crystal. The Crusader Enchant will also still be decent but pay attention to the Enchant because it has a reduced effect when you are on level 61 or higher.
Righteous Orb is also needed for some of the in-game enchants, which could cause the price to increase.
Gas Cloud will be introduced in TBC, and this cloud contains modes, and you can turn 10 modes into one primal.
Primals will be needed for different professions, but they are important now since Mote Extractor is for engineer only. In order to craft the Mote Extractor, you'll actually need a classic item.
The classic item is called Delicate Arcanite Converter. It is crafted by engineer, and you will need one Arcanite Bar and one Ironweb Spider Silk. In order to craft the Delicate Arcanite Converter, you will need a Schematic.
