Topic: Tannehill missed an open Mike Wallac
The Chicago Blackhawks took a 2-1 lead into the third period, fell behind and rallied to win, all in less than 11 minutes of game action, earning a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings in Game Six, setting up a Game Seven in Chicago for all of the proverbial Western Conference marbles. Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane came up big when it counted, tallying two goals and an assist. He scored the game-winner with 4:45 remaining in the third period, stopping on the right hashmarks, carrying the puck up through the top of the Kings zone, then firing a wrist shot from the top of the circles past Jonathan Quick, who had his view obstructed by Andrew Shaw. Kane, who had no points in the first three games of the series, now has eight points in the last three games; his 18 points lead the Blackhawks and is tied with Kings LW Marian Gaborik for third in the playoffs. Kanes one assist was on Duncan Keiths game-tying goal, with 8:26 remaining. Keith had no points and one shot on goal in the previous three games. Blackhawks D Brent Seabrook contributed a couple of assists and had the best possession stats for Chicago in Game Six, on for 17 shot attempts for and 11 against (60.7%) during 5-on-5 play. With Seabrook off the ice, the Blackhawks had 40.0% of the 5-on-5 shot attempts. Seabrooks 14 points in the playoffs ties Montreals P.K. Subban for second among defencemen. Kings D Drew Doughty is the top-scoring defenceman, with his goal and an assist Friday giving him 16 points in 20 playoff games. Doughty and partner Jake Muzzin were on for 65.7% of the 5-on-5 shot attempts. Doughty also set up Alec Martinez for the go-ahead goal, 2:06 after Doughty had scored to tie the game at two. Martinez also had a monster possession game, on the ice for 20 shot attempts for and nine against (69.0%) during 5-on-5 play, and leading the Kings with nine shot attempts in the game. Los Angeles controlled possession in Game Six, earning 57.3% of all shot attempts in the game, outshooting Chicago 29-25, and the Kings hold a slight possession edge in the series. Will that be enough to get them past the formidable Blackhawks in Game Seven? It could come down to goaltending, which is practically a cliche in playoff hockey, but neither Corey Crawford (.879 SV% in the series) nor Jonathan Quick (.886 SV% in the series) has been great. With one game to determine the fate of the series, whichever one returns to form could shift the balance. The Dolphins, who havent been to the post-season since 2008, are now a long shot with three games to go.Disappointing, to say the least, defensive end Cameron Wake said. To finish out the game like that is a little mind-blowing.Frustration boiled over when Odrick yelled at Philbin as the Ravens drove for their last touchdown in the final minutes.Emotions were running high, Odrick said. I probably should have calmed down a little earlier.Said Philbin: Footballs an emotional game. We had a discussion. Ive already had another discussion with him. Football gets fiery out there. Its good. But the Dolphins showed little fire in the final three quarters, when they were outgained 425-161.Elvis Dumervil led Baltimores defensive charge with 3 1/2 sacks, increasing his season total to a franchise-record 16. Miamis Ryan Tannehill threw for 227 yards and a score, but was sacked six times. You have to give credit to their guys, Tannehill said. They did a good job of getting around the edge. The Ravens Joe Flacco went 25 for 33 for 269 yards and two touchdowns, and overcame an interception in the end zone. He also ran for a score.Flacco and coach John Harbaugh improved to 5-0 against the Dolphins, including fourr wins in Miami.dddddddddddd The Ravens won without defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, suspended during the week for a performance-enhancing substance violation, and they bounced back from a last-minute loss last week at home to San Diego.Weve got a team thats playing pretty well right now and gaining some confidence, Flacco said.Leading 14-13, the Ravens were helped by a replay reversal midway through the fourth quarter. Flacco fumbled attempting to throw and Miami recovered, but a review determined his arm was moving forward when he lost the ball, and the play was ruled an incomplete pass.On the next play, Justin Forsett scored on a 2-yard run.The Dolphins gave up 183 yards rushing and have allowed 661 in the past three games. The Ravens three running backs combined for 156 yards rushing and averaged 6.8 yards per carry.Miami was up 10-0 in the second quarter when a long completion and scoring threat were negated by a penalty on guard Mike Pouncey for being downfield on the play. That infraction seemed to deflate the Dolphins. Its definitely disappointing, especially having the lead, having the upper hand early on, then falling apart, Miami linebacker Jelani Jenkins said.Trailing 14-10, they had a first down at the Baltimore 4 early in the fourth quarter. Tannehill missed an open Mike Wallace in the end zone and was then sacked by C.J. Mosley on third down, forcing Miami to settle for a field goal.He got off and was wide open, Tannehill said. I threw it before I got hit and overthrew him. A good route, and I just missed him.Notes: Dolphins safety Louis Delmas was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with a right knee injury. Jenkins left the game in the third quarter with a foot injury and didnt return. Dolphins C Samson Satele left the game with an undisclosed injury in the fourth quarter.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Steven Wine on Twitter: http://twitter.com/Steve_Wine Wholesale Hoodies NFL Shirts Outlet Jerseys NFL Wholesale Cheap NFL Jerseys Free Shipping Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Cheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
