Ready-to-eat foods, such as dairy products, ready meals, canned foods, leftovers, cooked meats, and prepared salads. They should all be covered or kept in airtight containers to prevent contamination. Store ready-to-eat foods at the top of the refrigerator, away from raw foods, so that harmful bacteria do not transfer from raw food to cooked food.

Bottom shelf

Raw meat, poultry, and fish in airtight containers to prevent them from touching or dropping over other foods. Raw meat should always be stored at the bottom of the refrigerator to prevent cross-contamination. Make sure each item is wrapped or in an airtight container so that it doesn't come in contact with other foods.

Salad tray

Fruit, vegetables and vegetable salad that have been washed before storage. Make sure fruit, vegetables and salad are wrapped in paper or plastic with ventilation holes to protect them from any contamination. For salads and herbs, try wrapping them in a damp paper towel before storing to prevent them from drying out and to keep them fresh for longer.
