1. Application of nickel-plated copper conductor:
Under normal circumstances, very thin copper wires are more prone to damage due to oxidation corrosion. Therefore, if the conductor is stranded with a single wire with a diameter of 0.38mm and below, nickel-plated copper single wire should be used to prevent oxidation on the surface of the copper conductor.
2. Characteristics of nickel-plated copper conductors:
<1. High temperature resistance: Nickel plating on the copper wire can make the nickel-plated copper conductor work normally and stably at a high temperature of 250 ℃ for a long time.
<2. Enhanced wear resistance: the hardness of metallic nickel is higher, and nickel plating on the copper conductor can improve the wear resistance of the copper conductor surface.
<3. Anti-corrosion: Due to the high chemical stability of metallic nickel, some copper conductors also use thicker nickel plating to prevent corrosion by the medium.
<4. Anti-oxidation: Among many metal materials, nickel is considered to be a material with better resistance to accelerated oxidation in a high-temperature environment.
<5. Increase the current carrying capacity: The melting point of nickel is very high, about twice that of copper, so it can effectively protect the plated conductor at high temperature. Under normal circumstances, the current carrying capacity of nickel-plated conductors is larger than that of copper conductors of the same specification.
<6. Appearance decoration: Electroplated nickel crystals are extremely small and have excellent polishing performance. The polished nickel coating can get a mirror-like gloss appearance, while maintaining its gloss for a long time in the atmosphere.
